The joy of sampling is you can create music from any type of sound you can find and some can be literally “out of this world”. Musicians Davide Cairo and Giacomo Muzzacato, from the Fabrica Music Area collective took on this concept when they stumbled upon NASA’s SoundCloud library packed with space sounds and rocket launches and, with the help of some producer friends, put together a 4-track release called 80UA EP. This “space music suite” won’t be setting any dance floors ablaze but it goes to show sometimes the sky isn’t always the limit. Okay, I’m done with the cosmic clichés.
