We love it when a hip hop plan comes together but we love it even more when they come back for more. Blu & Nottz’s Gods in the Spirit received good press overall and featured some dope guest appearances (Aloe Blacc, Homeboy Sandman and ScienZe) and, three years later, their back with a spiritual follow up. Titans in the Flesh is a strong release and a marrying of two hip hop forces misunderstood or under appreciated, depending on how you want to see it. Nottz packs his trademark punches in the beats department while Blu makes wordplay and lyricism seem like a walk in the park. The features on this one aren’t too shabby either – Bishop Lament, Torae, Skyzoo and Exile to name a few. You’re gonna want to hear this one.
