Our Saturday Matinée this week is dedicated to Brasilintime, featuring a large section of the Stones Throw alumni.
Brasilintime is a 2-hour journey into the world of Brazilian music and its impact on hip hop. Including extensive talk with some of the greats in samba, Brazilian rock and bossa nova, the documentary leaves no stone unturned in its quest to provide an accurate musical map of such a vibrant nation. For the crate diggers out there, you might want to pay attention to the records shown in the film because lord knows Madlib and ’em were digging rigorously out there.
