Boom Bap Beatnik is back again, this time with a mix of the samples used on Kanye West’s Yeezus.
Controversy aside, sample fiends will be intrigued to know what samples were used on Kanye West’s new album Yeezus. Luckily, we have Boom Bap Beatnik to answer our questions and after his sample mixes for Madvillainy and Kanye’s College Dropout, he’s put together a mix for Yeezus. Amongst the obscure samples from the likes of Holy Name of Mary Choral Family and Hungarian rock band Omega are well known names such as Gary Glitter (yeah, we thought that too), Nina Simone and ‘Ye collaborators Pusha T and TNGHT. It’s dark and eclectic but we’ve come to expect that from Kanye of late.
