Collaborations are the name of the game in hip hop right now. Kuroisoul from the US and Kinetik from the UK started their musical relationship much like Phonte and Nicolay, through e-mail and the internet. Their hip hop love affair blossomed and in September 2012, Kinetik took the trip to Cali for a fortnight’s worth of sessions with Kuroisoul, which culminated in Hip Hop Is Forever. Chemistry Perfected opens proceedings with a smooth soul flip and Kinetik strikes immediately with some power fast-paced lyrical flows and the energy continues, easing up slightly on summery London mornings.
