Whether it’s that time of year or the fact the World Cup is being held there, Brazil and its music is of heightened importance over the past few months. Should you be mourning the end of the World Cup come August time, REdefinition have the perfect tape to keep those Brazilian vibes alive. Comprised of Manchester’s Mecca:83, Philly’s Buscrates 16-Bit Ensemble’s Remix and New York’s DistantStarr, REdefinition’s Bahia Affair welds together the classic eras of Brazilian music with crackling drums, champion horn sections and warm Rhodes pianos throughout. The likes of Sabrina Cuie and Nardo Says feature with a few choices verses and a fine remix of the title track by Dutch producer Moods all round off yet another outstanding project from the hip hop triplet.
