Brainfeeder bassist Thundercat announces his new album with Flying Lotus as executive producer. He’s also put a cut from the LP on Soundcloud.
When it comes to anything Flying Lotus-related, the internet becomes a foaming frenzy of activity. That was still the case when Thundercat announced the release of his upcoming album, Apocalypse, which FlyLo will be executive producing, due out on 9th July via Brainfeeder (and 8th July for the lucky Europeans). To celebrate this joyous occasion, Thundercat has dropped a single off the album called “Heartbreaks + Setbacks”, co-written and produced by Flying Lotus, Bruner and Mono/Poly. The Brainfeeder presence is noticeable, with the slightly off-beat rhythm, blips and squeaks and spacey sound settings. What is different, however, is the symphonic rock style but regardless, it’s an awesome track.
