Japanese indie pop musician Shugo Tokumaru releases a superb stop motion video for his new single Katachi.
We’re only 25 days into January and we have a superb video to show you. Japanese indie-pop artist Shugo Tokumaru collaborated with Polish directors Kijek / Adamski to produce “approx. 2000 silhouettes extracted from PVC plates using [a] computer-controlled cutter.” Katachi is Japanese for “shape” and I can’t think of a better concept. This isn’t the first video Shugo Tokumaru has used that involved paper and motion. Last year, Decorate (directed by ONIONSKIN) featured card wheels of mini pop up characters dancing around for just over three minutes. Trust me, it looks better than I just described it.
