I’ve often wondered how my favourite artists, who never directly collaborated, are connected in some way. Michael Jackson never duetted with Prince on Bad for documented reasons but they are connected by one degree of separation. If you don’t know what that is, you can find out thanks to 6-D, WhoSampled’s newest feature. Short for “Six Degrees of Music Separation”, you enter the names of any two artists and 6-D will tell you how they are connected. They have to be within WhoSampled’s database though (I tried George Bush and Kanye but the former president wasn’t there).
