What is this?
HEAVY is a new album from R&B artist, SiR. This is his fourth studio album, after 2019’s Chasing Summer.
Is it good?
I think this might be my album of the year. Each song is beautifully constructed, both with the beats, the vocals, and the features. It all just fits together like a jigsaw puzzle. I think it helped that I listened to this from start to finish on a tram ride to Nice airport on Thursday. Albums like this need you to be still and present; to take in all the melodies and all the lyrics. And on the lyrics, they’re really solid with SiR talking about rich indulgence, regrets, acknowledgement of his past screw ups, courtship, sex, commitment—

Yep, I can’t see anything taking it given the closest contenders already dropped theirs (Khruangbin and Justice to name a few). I could play it through without skips—and I have!
