How Did I Miss That – Miles Davis Performing Michael Jackson’s Human Nature

Must watch for any jazz/MJ fans: Miles Davis performing Michael Jackson’s Human Nature live.

This week is turning into some kind of legends week or something. First, we had Herbie Hancock listening to Dilla for what appeared to be the first time, then news of De La releasing a new single every month and now this mini throwback. Back in ’85, Miles Davis recorded an album called You’re Under Arrest featuring politically charged jazz fusion tracks and a couple of notable pop covers including Michael Jackson’s Human Nature. This live performance (I don’t know where or when it was taken, so if you do, please let me know) shows Miles in his flamboyant regalia putting together a beautiful rendition of a beautiful pop song. Kenny Garrett also featured, providing a stunning sax solo.

Stream it below and witness the fierceness.
