Moonlighters: DOOM BAR

In a new feature called Moonlighters, we find musicians in the most unlikely of places. Today, DOOM in a brewery.

Okay, so maybe DOOM and alcohol isn’t the most unlikely of pairings but while in a pub last night, the name certainly caught my eye. Doom Bar unfortunately isn’t the name of a new business venture for the rapper but a beer named after a coastal area in the UK. Originally called Dunbar sands, the name was altered from its original Gaelic form but perhaps that was a prophetic move – the area is notable for being treacherous due to high winds and tides, so much so that there have been a lot of ship wrecks over the ages. Sounds like DOOM’s kinda place. If the Supervillain ever open a pub, this would HAVE to be the house beer.
