Oddisee’s tranquil video for After Thoughts was released by Mello Music Group yesterday.
I was trying to think of a word to describe both the track and the video for Oddisee’s After Thoughts and the first one that came to mind was “visceral”; something coming from strong emotions and not from logic or reason (thanks, Merriam-Webster). Ironically, the “reason” I fell upon that word was because it fit so well with the whole album’s theme of admiring the flaws of life and all the emotions that come with it. The video is directed by French director Grégoire Marty and offers an almost prismatic view of nature, a place where beauty and flaws co-exist so harmonically. Yep, Oddisee went deep on all levels with this one.
