Roger Linn tries out a new Akai MPC
Roger Linn is a legend in musical hardware. He co-designed some of the first Akai MPC’s and built his own devices such as the LM-1, the LinnDrum, the AdrenaLinn, the Tempest with Dave Smith, and the LinnStrument. But in the above video, he tried out the latest MPC bringing everything full circle. He referenced his falling out with Akai which ended their collaborative relationship and that he hasn’t really played with the devices since so it’s cool to see him revisit a newer version of something he helped create.
