Stream Two-Part 80s Japanese Funk Mix On YouTube

Get down to some Japanese funk from the 80s with this two-part mix on YouTube.

When it comes to technological advancement and musical adaptation, Japan are light years ahead. During the 80s, they provided some fantastic jazz and pop renditions and still do so today but where many music buffs find gold are in the funk/boogie/rare groove records from the Land of the Rising Sun. Cultural blog Boing Boing did some digging of their own and discovered a two-part 80s funk mix from last year featuring the likes of Toshiki Kadomatsu, Anri and Japanese-American band Hiroshima. Sample hounds will want to spare an hour or so for this.

Stream it below.
