Typophonic, A Collection Of Typographic Record Covers From The Ages

For the designer fans out there, Typophonic offers a look into the typo-centric world of album covers.

As the popular media for music has shifted towards mp3s, cover art isn’t as influential in telling a story as it once was in the 20th century. One website, however, has based its content on the record covers of old with a typographic slant. Typophonic showcases “typographically driven 12-inch record covers from the 1950s through the 1980s” and provide a gateway into a time when designers showed a bit of flair for their work and had the chance to do so.

You can find some of these wonderful typographical covers on the Typophonic website.
