In today’s Throwback Thursday, we see Andre Cymone pull off an uncanny interview resemblance to Prince…

We can understand how nerve wracking interviews can be. You have an audience listening to your every word, in the studio and across the world, the bright lights are shining on you, perspiration starts to kick in – we get it. We don’t know if any of those things affected Andre Cymone, songwriter, record producer and former bass guitarist for Prince’s pre-Revolution touring band. The interview, conducted by Nat Morris, features insights into Andre’s love life and his relationship with Prince and Morris Day. I don’t know if it’s just me, but there’s a bit of a tense mood at the beginning with relation to Prince and the “breakup”. He also talks about his dad and Prince’s dad having previously played in a band together and claims that he was supposed to produce The Time’s debut album. If this dude was up for “Best Prince Impression” Award at the Oscars, he’d be a hot favourite for sure.
