Face to Face but with "newer" samples

From French touch to new touch.

What If "Face to Face" by Daft Punk Used Newer Samples?

When it comes to sampling, Daft Punk’s “Face to Face” is iconic for using around 20 “micro” samples in a remarkable way. Nickster decided to recreate the song but using “newer” samples, as described in the video description:

This idea was inspired by a conversation in the Sample Hunting Discord community (now known as the Sample Sanctuary).

So I challenged myself to recreate Daft Punk’s “Face to Face” using samples that were released long after when the samples for the original track were released.

While the original used samples mostly coming from the 1970s and 80s, I decided to use songs from a later time frame, hovering around the 2000s and early 2010s.

Obviously, listen for yourself but it’s amazing how he put it all together and the samples he used. It definitely sounds more “now”, as if Face to Face never existed in 2001, if that makes sense?
