Holyy Smokess – Life In The Core

Welsh producer Holyy Smokess drops a new beat tape oozing with that 80s analog sound.

The man behind Yoko Temple, Jevon James, dropped a new beat tape yesterday under the guise Holyy Smokess. Entitled Life In The Core, it’s packed with wonky melodies, hazy analog hissing and plenty of offbeat 80s percussion. Particular favourites include Thinking Grain with it’s modulating sound and Asia Asia for its eclectic mix of Eastern Asian music and elements of new wave. The compositions on every track have been crafted brilliantly and Holyy Smokess is definitely worth looking out for in the future.
