We featured Hooligan’s fourth For Medicinal Purposes beat tape a few weeks ago and it seems the Chicagoan has been busy with more music. His latest hip hop offering, The ’95 Batch, is a collection of seven bumps full to the brim with hip hop, R&B and soul vibes from the 90s and before. The advantage of dropping beats in “bump” form is they can stand out as short blasts of inspiration without needing to carry a heavy technical definition. Hooligan executes the idea of the bump brilliantly and we look forward to hearing many more from him.
Hooligan - The '95 Batch
