
The melodic landscape of hip hop has comprised of a number of different elements but synthesizers have played a fantastic role, in ways you wouldn’t immediately notice unless you know your shit. One of the most famous synths is the Moog synthesizer, created by Dr. Robert Moog. Born in New York on 23rd May 1934, the doctor of engineering physics worked on modular synthesis throughout the 50s and 60s with the apex of his creations being coming in the 70s. Film maker Hans Fjellestad remember the great man in his documentary.
