The JBL SA750: a new stereo amplifier with streaming tech

The JBL SA750

JBL’s new stereo amplifier blends style with substance but it will come with a hefty price tag.

I’ve lowkey wanted a stereo amplifier for a while. The JBL SA750 is way out of my price range (spoiler alert: it’ll be $3,000 when it goes on sale from April) but that doesn’t take away from how lovely it looks and its specs:

  • Wireless connectivity with UPnP support and connectivity with Apple and Google products like Airplay and Chromecast
  • 6 pairs of analog RCA inputs
  • 3.5mm aux in
  • 2 optical and 2 coaxial digital inputs
  • USB and ethernet

From the official press release:

“The SA750 combines the appeal of retro design with the most current room optimization and streaming technologies in the market,” said Jim Garrett, Senior Director, Product Strategy & Planning, HARMAN Luxury Audio.  “It’s the best of both worlds — past and present — and is already generating considerable excitement among audiophiles and enthusiasts to whom we’ve previewed it.”

Ah, to be a rich man.
