For the samplers out there, this is like the Holy Grail. Some of the samples were known but to have them in their original form is just perfect. Madvillainy is without doubt a hip hop classic, both from a sampling perspective and a rapping perspective as DOOM left no stones unturned with his wordplay. The wait for Madvillain’s next album might be ever increasing, but for now, you can enjoy the fruits of Madlib’s amazing crate digging abilities.
