Sometimes, you listen to a beat and it feels like a fever dream. Whether that’s a good or bad thing is another story but in the case of MAMMON’s latest album, METHOD OF CONTROL Vol. 1, it’s very much a good thing.
The Maine producer cranked up the psychedelic knob all the way to wavy with this one thanks to a mix of thumping beats, undulating melodies, and audio effects that you’ll need to sit back—or lay down—to enjoy.
For some reason, I kept picturing Rorschach from Watchmen whenever I heard the little vocal skits. METHOD OF CONTROL Vol. 1 gives of a pulp fiction kind of vibe and I’m definitely hear for it.
