Sorry if I’m covering old ground here, but because I never had the opportunity to watch The Powerpuff Girls when I was a child (it was always on cable and we didn’t have it), I only just discovered this. The sneaky composers (James L. Venable, Thomas Chase, Stephen Rucker) embedded a very famous drum break within the flowery theme tune and unless you were a James Brown fan, you might not have noticed. Yes, that drum break is from Funky Drummer. In the words of this feature, how did I miss that?!
