Black Milk is one of my favourite MC/producers of the past decade, with albums like Popular Demand, The Tronic and Album Of The Year as well as his beats for Phat Kat, Guilty Simpson and Slum Village. He’s one of the main advocates of Detroit hip hop with his vibrant sound and heavy hitting drums. In these two videos, we get to see just where all the music is created. As he says himself, this is only the start of the creative process, after which it’s taken to the “big studio” for the mixing and finishing touches. It’s always dope to see talented musicians at work so stream both parts below and maybe have a notebook ready.
