The label has only been around for two weeks but we have our first release. Entitled Sunday Night Jams, we ask our artists – as well as specially selected musicians from elsewhere – to compile a list of tracks they would listen to on a perfect Sunday night to jam and relax. Our first “curator” of the series is Big Groove and his selection includes the likes of Afta-1, Jazzanova, Robert Glasper and one song from the man himself. A fine mix of hip hop, jazz and electro soul and, by the sounds of it, the kind of stuff that clearly influences Mr Groove.
Anyway, support the cause, stream and download the album if you like it. Donations go straight to the Sampleface fund to keep the blog and label alive. We’re hoping to get some wristbands and stickers in, so the more the better!
