It must have been an honour to be a guest VJ on MTV in the station’s debut decade. Robert Palmer was chosen to take that mantle in 1986 and he did it in his own signature style: reserved, refined, and lighting up when it came to talking about the music. And when he interviewed Chaka Khan, someone he clearly admired (and the feeling appeared to be mutual).
