Yancey Boys "The Fisherman" produced by J Dilla (feat. Vice, Detroit Serious, J Rocc)
Man, it was a matter of MINUTES after I heard Dilla’s Diamonds (The Shining Pt. 1) when I found Yancey Boys’ The Fisherman on Facebook (shoutouts to Cypria and Buscrates for the shares). Illa J and Frank Nitt were in charge of lacing the rhymes over Dilla’s beat with special appearances from Vice, Detroit Serious and J Rocc in the video. My initial thoughts of the visuals (directed by Rowe Shot Me) were “Big Pimpin’ but replacing extravagance with fishing rods and more dope emcees” and together with the repeating synth riff, you could easily go cruising in your boat/road vehicle to this.
