US producer All These Fingers brings out “Rhodes Collection EP”, a release dedicated to the famous Fender Rhodes electric piano.
Bandcamp’s favourite cave dweller All These Fingers has returned with his tenth release of the year. On “Rhodes Collection EP”, the producer puts together a selection of eight beats including two bonus outtakes, as homages to the Fender Rhodes electric piano invented in 1965. One of its most prolific and innovative users, Herbie Hancock, features throughout talking about the piano’s unique features and how he came to playing one (the sample on the intro is featured on Dilla’s Stakes Is High remix for De La Soul), in between some really warm vibrato and resonating chords. All These Fingers (or ATF for short) keeps the essence of the piano pulsating through while adding his own percussive touches to provide the listener with a view into the past and the present.
