Black Milk touches on our relationship with social media in the haunting video for Laugh Now Cry Later.
I shall preface this with the following statement: the end of this video fucked me up. You’ll see why when you watch it (and you totally should). Director Gerard Victor captured the stillness of the two main cast members (made to imitate Instagram posts – dope idea) along with random Twitter-style comments. I admit I’ve probably said or thought a few of these myself and it made me stop to think. Black Milk’s video for Laugh Now Cry Later is all very meta and multi-layered in philosophy which is an incredible feat considering there’s very little movement involved.
