We say au revoir to the masters of French house.

As if this pandemic era couldn’t get any worse, we get this news: Daft Punk is calling it quits.

The French electronic duo has been together since 1993 but this year is their last and they announced it through a video called Epilogue.

I’ve loved Daft Punk since I first Around The World in 1997 but my admiration was cemented after their 2001 masterpiece, Discovery. Jam after jam after jam on that album. The samples, the imagery, the helmets, the coolness, the anonymity, the later collaborations, the fact they reclaimed an insult and made it their group name. Iconique.

Daft Punk has broken up. RIP u will live on forever. Cant believe it. Harder better faster stronger. Really cant believe this. @
