Back in my youth, I wanted to be a DJ and even did a gig or two but it never really stuck. That said, I admire those who can do it with the kind of flair and complexity I wanted for myself all those years ago. 15 Levels of Turntable Scratching shows DJ Shortkut explaining 15 levels of DJ scratching, from “easy” to “complex”.
I struggled with beat matching, let alone rhythmic scratching, but DJ Shortkut goes through the techniques and who pioneered them. It was fascinating to watch and see everything broken down.
