We asked our friend Stephanie Vaughn aka Softjunebreeze aka Stepholonious aka Rap Game Simone Biles to put together a Olympic Games mix. This is what she came up with.
We’re grateful to know some incredibly talented people, so we reached out to one such individual to compile a Brazilian mix for the Olympics. Now, we’re a week late but I’ve been ill and since the Paralympics are coming soon, there’s still time to get in the mood for Rio the second time around. Alternatively, you can use it to cure any post-Olympic blues you may have or prepare for the Games ahead. The likes of Sergio Mendes, Gilberto Gil, Astrid Gilberto and Stan Getz feature so expect the highest quality of bossa nova and jazz from the Land of the Holy Cross.
Oh, and there’s a Dilla sample in there. Bonus points if you can find it (shouldn’t be difficult.)
