I wasn’t sure what to expect when I heard about a Fiona Apple remix; this is Fiona Apple after all. But I was pleasantly surprised when I gave it a listen. MeLo-X dropped this remix of Apple’s Every Single Night in conjunction of the release of his joint album with Jesse Boykins III titled Zulu Guru, and their current tour in Australia. It’s catchy and carries some African elements into a house track without sounding like a cheap 2008 funky house remix (before funky house had a “revamp”).
