Electronic music is ever popular and remixes fuel the internet. Kaytranada is a master of the remix and decided to rework Janet Jackson’s If into a monster of a track. It opens with filtered vocals and proceeds to jump and bounce over a searing choral melody.
If the club was a church or place of spiritual solace – and to many it is – this is a hymn of salvation. Your head will bob without you realising, compelled to do so by the spirits of the dance floor. It packs heat but cools on the breakdowns. Expect some repeated listening on this.
