Janelle Monae - PrimeTime (Feat. Miguel)

I don’t know about you, but I’m really looking forward to this new Janelle Monae’s new album. The tracks we’ve heard so far have been brilliant, from the funkadelic Q.U.E.E.N. featuring Erykah Badu to the uptempo, finger-snapping Dance Apocalyptic. But for PrimeTime, things have been stripped back and kept sensual thanks to a Prince-esque chorus and superbly chosen feature performance by Miguel. Monáe keeps the ballad sounding sultry and powerful with airy harmonies. All I need is Prince to do a impromptu cover of this and my life will be renewed everlasting forevermore, amen.
