One of my favourite non-album MJ cuts from the 90s is ‘Someone Put Your Hand Out‘. What I didn’t know was that a 1987 demo existed that sounded a lot different. Since it was recorded during the Bad sessions, the instrumentation sounds much like a lot of the demos and unreleased tracks of that era. But when you hear the final version, released in 1993, you can see how it was stripped and slowed down, sung in falsetto, and more relaxed than the demo.
