Enjoy the wonders of dance in this video of Michael Jackson’s Origins Of The Moonwalk for our Satuday Matinée this week.

It was the 30th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s Motown 25 performance this week and after watching it back (oh, the goosebumps!), I found a video of all the origins of the move and plenty of other techniques that went on to inspire the great man and his dancing prowess. As discussed previously, MJ never claimed to have invented the move (or any of the techniques he exhibited), but he definitely made them all his own. Featuring footage from Fred Astaire, Bill Bailey, Sammy Davis Jr. and others, the video is a visual kaleidoscope of inspiration dedicated to one of the greatest entertainers and dancers of our time.

Stream it below and be careful sliding around your kitchen in your white socks.
