It seems like only recently that Akai introduced their new MPC Element and already Native Instruments have announced their new piece of hardware. That would be because it was recently. NI wasted no time in unveiling Maschine Studio and Maschine 2.0 today with Studio becoming the company’s “new ‘flagship’ hardware controller”. Studio is a lot bigger than the original, with a look similar to the Avid Artist Mix but with bigger more colourful button and no faders. You also get a software upgrade in Maschine 2.0, featuring a new mixer page, more plug-ins and better overall performance. New producers and older ones looking to keep up-to-date will be spoilt for choice.
