You’ll want to get your mind round this LP from Scruffnuk Dust.
An oldie but a goodie. Crates & Mindstates is the archetypal SP-303 sample-based album: heavy as hell, sonically raw and rhythmically bumbling through track-to-track. These tracks are apparently unmastered which may put off the more discerning audiophile but that’s not what this album is about. Crates & Mindstates is pure in this kind of form. Scruffnuk Dust has extracted the samples from his crates with the precision of a beatmaking Indiana Jones. You don’t get dustier than this.
