For our Song for Sunday this week, we’re dedicating it to all those mamas out there to say thank you for your love. J-Zone over at Egotripland documented 10 rap songs about mamas and so we thought we’d add one to the mix. On his 06 Demo beat tape, Flying Lotus had a track called Mom, a beautiful piano-based hip hop jam with those signature FlyLo airy vocal samples. With those vocals and the twinkling element of the piano keys, you could almost imagine the sound of your own mother’s voice in the track somewhere. A beautiful musical moment.
