Production team Soulfinger have put together a Motown-inspired record called “Life, Love & Passion” and need your help to release it to the masses via Kickstarter.
If you love old soul records, this might peak your interest. A production team called Soulfinger have recorded an album called “Life, Love & Passion” paying tribute to the iconic songwriters of the Motown era with the likes of Leela James, Teedra Moses, Syleena Johnson, Joi among the modern stars involved. But this isn’t an example of musical indulgence, rather Soulfinger want to give shine to the lesser known B-sides of soul records, the ones you might not have turned over if you wanted to hear the hit song and thanks to the lineup, they now have a new lease of life.
Because of the nature of the release, Soulfinger decided to package the whole thing in a luxurious leather “dodecahedron“. It’s a limited edition collector’s item and won’t be released on iTunes, Amazon or Spotify illustrating just how rare this collection is. Their Kickstarter for the project will be running for the next two months so there’s plenty of time to donate.
