He’s been Snoop Lion and Snoopzilla as part of funk duo 7 Days Of Funk but now we’re back to the OG Snoop Dogg for his new track with Madlib. Cadillacs shows Snoop having not lost anything after his reggae renaissance and wranglings with the Rasta community and Madlib’s slow groove sample of One Way’s classic Cutie Pie is the perfect setting for it all. It’s not the type of track to blow minds in the way of lyricism or sonic artistry but what it does do is show that Snoop can still kick it gangsta style and his “cadillac” ride through the Stones Throw family is a joy to behold.
