Beatmaster Tuamie delivers a brand new album called Masta Killa.
I’ve been a huge fan of Tuamie since I heard his fantastic flip of Sade’s Sweetest Taboo (something I regularly go back to when I want to hear her dulcet tones). On Tuesday, Tuamie finally dropped his new album Masta Killa via Grand Garden Records and being his first release with the label, this is the start of a beautiful partnership. So, the beat tape – his love of records and obscure loops resonate from the get go with the boom bap fantastic “Yellow” but Tuamie doesn’t stop there and takes Masta Killa further into his realm of crunchy vinyl warmth and plenty of 90’s R&B rhythm and groove. Madlib isn’t the only “Loop Digga” around here.
