YAMS is a designer and producer from the US and his latest album, LAZY DAY, is a drumming and chopping masterclass. There’s a ton of really laidback jazz grooves on this with heavy drums over the top. They’re characterful and I appreciate that, especially in a time where minimal lo-fi beats are commonplace (seriously, diversify those drums and patterns!)
But I digress. LAZY DAY is the perfect Sunday soundtrack but, honestly, any day is a LAZY DAY if you need rest. So go get some and turn this up. And hydrate. And open a window.
