The Pudding explores 'rhythm and grooves that break the rules' in Wonky

It’s always Dilla Time here.

If you like a bit of swing with your beats, you’re gonna love The Pudding’s latest interactive project. Wonky explores ‘rhythm and grooves that break the rules’. Of course, it all starts with J Dilla and the famous story told by Questlove about the time he heard a beat coming out of a club that didn’t sound right:

“It sounded like the kick drum was played by a drunk 3-year old, and I was like ‘Are you allowed to do that?’”

Other featured artists including Stevie Wonder, Anderson .Paak, and Jacob Collier. And there’s a Spotify playlist you can listen to, which I highly recommend.
