Mass-based duo DJ Manipulator and Louie Gonz leave us with “This Sound”, featuring some focused lyrics from Blu.
We have five days to go before DJ Manipulator and Louie Gonz drop their new album, “The Loops”, the pair have offered us a sonic hors d’oeuvre in the form of “This Sound.” Manipulator chose a gorgeous flute/xylophone sample for Louie Gonz and special guest Blu to throw some grimy rhymes over. Louie opens with some fine referential wordplay before Blu stays grounded with a smattering of sociopolitical lyrics. While the beat isn’t stonking, the rhymes certainly are.
“The Loops” is due out on 9th June and will be available on all major streaming services and digital retailers.
