Zweli is back with an endorsement for A2 and his track, Tell Me Freestyle.
Firstly, if you haven’t heard of A2 where have you been? He has received major co-signs from Tinie Tempah, Poet (of poetscorner, Vibbar, Copa90), and Stormzy. He’s even opened for Stormzy on his sell-out tour as well as performances at Wireless and Reading & Leeds. Most recently, he performed alongside the likes of Giggs and Charlie Sloth.
The reason he’s been able to do this is that he is one of the dopest talents in the UK confirmed by his latest EP, RED. One of the cuts, ‘Tell Me Freestyle’, is a classic A2 track: a self-produced audio journey that almost sounds like it shouldn’t work, but it does. The visuals are a bit trippy, made up of A2 in front of the camera alongside images of flowers, Naomi Campbell and a gun going off. You need to check it out for yourself to appreciate the effort gone into the visuals. The song captures a snapshot of what he’s about and will leave you wanting more.
