I’m gonna keep this short and sweet: I’m seeing a helluva lot of AI art on album covers and it’s disheartening and a little creepy. The images look off (because AI art isn’t actually good) and given how image AI models are built through stolen works, it’s not a good look.
I appreciate that not everyone has Photoshop or the skills to use it to make their thoughts become reality or have the money to pay an artist to do it for them but AI isn’t the way for me. Lord knows sampling culture already has an unfair association with theft and laziness. Image AI’s associations with it are way more justified. Please stop.
